This Is Our Story

We are Heaven To Ocean Youth Camp or H2O. A company for youth, created by past youth. The founder is John Warne. Being born in California not too far from the beach, surfing became a burning passion. He grew a deep love for the sport and all the happiness the ocean brought him. Growing up, going to camps such as EFY and BYU baseball camp were the best weeks of his life. Here he met really awesome people that he is still friends with, gained skills, had lots of fun and most importantly developed a testimony of Jesus Christ and his Gospel. He took this testimony and served full time mission in the Philippines. 
When he returned from his mission, he was so excited to surf. He got a job at a local surf school, Malibu Makos, and loved every second of it. Here he found a passion for teaching others and seeing the smile on everyones face when they catch their first wave. He set his eyes on BYU-Hawaii and made it out to Hawaii. He started a surf school in Hawaii called Ohana Surf School where we taught hundreds of people how to surf.
As he went through school, working and surfing, he would contemplate about how he could continue to help others surf while making a positive impact spiritually on our youth. This is where he came up with the idea of H20 Youth Camp. An overnight surf school where youth from around the world can come learn how to surf and develop their testimonies alongside other like minded youth. Halfway through his schooling at BYU-Hawaii, he met a new friend named Liam Wilson. Liam is a professional surfer representing American-Samoa. He is from Lai'e Hawaii and is loved by the community. He has also taught so many youth how to surf while helping many train to be the best versions of their selfs both physically and mentally, They decided to join together to make the best youth camp ever. Our goal is to help parents have a safe space for their youth where they can build upon their skills, self esteem and faith while enjoying the beauty of God's creations. 
While together, they have ran multiple camps in different locations. 2024 was their inaugural camp at Brigham Young University-Hawaii and it was amazing. They energy was high at all times and the Youth in attendance truly got an experience to remember. The joy that John and Liam saw on everyone's faces lit a fire to maintain this camp at BYU-H for the years to come. They truly want everyone to experience the happiness felt at this camp.
From here, we hope to get many more programs started such as surf retreats in epic surf destinations where youth can take their surfing skills to the next level while experiencing different cultures. Then build up our non-profit running in all parts of the world where we run small surf camps and lessons for under privileged youth in third world countries. We hope that everyone can try surfing once so help us accomplish this goal by signing up and telling your friends!
